Apple Gift Card or iTunes card?

In many countries Apple has replaced the separate App Store & iTunes Gift Cards with a single Apple Gift Card. People still search for "iTunes card", and older App Store & iTunes cards are still redeemed the same way where they are sold. Either way, the card adds money to your Apple Account balance, which you can use for apps, in-app purchases (including game currencies bought through the App Store), subscriptions such as Apple Music or iCloud+, and other Apple media purchases, depending on your country.

The store country must match

Apple’s help pages state that a gift card can only be redeemed in the country or region where it was purchased. That means the card must match the App Store country of your Apple Account: a UAE card will not redeem on a Saudi or US account. You can see your country in Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region on iPhone. Changing the country requires spending or forfeiting your remaining balance and cancelling some subscriptions, so pick a card for the store you already use.

How to redeem

  1. On iPhone or iPad open the App Store, tap your photo and choose Redeem Gift Card or Code.
  2. Use the camera or enter the code manually.
  3. The amount is added to your Apple Account balance.

Cards are delivered as a digital code by message or email after payment, on request. Values and availability depend on the store country, so support confirms the exact card and price before you pay. The delivery time on this page is set by our team.

  • Redeem only in the App Store, iTunes or the Apple Account settings — never on a website that asks for your Apple Account password.
  • Apple will never ask you to pay a bill, tax or fine with gift cards.
  • Do not share the code before you redeem it.

Frequently asked questions

Is an iTunes card the same as an Apple Gift Card?

Both add Apple Account balance. In many countries Apple now sells one Apple Gift Card instead of separate App Store & iTunes cards.

Will a US card work on my Saudi Apple account?

No. Apple gift cards redeem only in the country or region where they were sold, so the card must match your account’s store.

Can I buy PUBG UC or other game currency with Apple balance?

Yes, when the game sells its currency through App Store in-app purchases, your Apple Account balance can pay for it.

Do you need my Apple Account password?

No. You receive a code and redeem it yourself. Never share your Apple Account password or verification codes.
